Special Intervieww with Ed HoltOn May 8, Ed posted a sharp criticism of Governor Kemp’s veto of SB 198, a bill with broad bipartisan support that would help Georgia’s independent pharmacies. As then-President of the Georgia Pharmacy Association, Ed heard from many independents that if this bill didn’t pass it could mean the death of their stores. As the representative of GPHA, Ed felt it was his duty to make a statement.Later that evening, Ed's employer, PruittHealth, contacted him and asked me to take it down. He complied immediately. On May 9, PruittHealth told Ed the post jeopardized their relationship with the Governor, and then they fired him. After 17 years of loyal service with not a single negative evaluation, Ed was terminated with no notice and with no severance.Ed has spent the last 7 weeks trying to get some sort of compensation for his time at the company. But PruittHealth has flatly refused stating that they violated their social media policy. The NCPA Foundation's new Executive Director --Sonja Pagniano, CFRE
The NCPA Foundation is a nonprofit, philanthropic 501(c)(3) organization established in 1953.
Their mission is to improve community-based healthcare access by supporting efforts that promote the sustainability and growth of independent community pharmacists, the most accessible healthcare provider, through scholarships, grants, and ownership development.
The vision of the NCPA Foundation is to elevate the practice of independent community pharmacy. These programs include those that help develop the future leaders and entrepreneurs of the community pharmacy profession.
While the foundation supports several programs and events that the National Community Pharmacists Association provides to the independent pharmacy community, our organization is completely autonomous and relies on external support from individuals, foundations, and corporations to maintain our far-reaching programs.Today's Episode is sponsored by the Waypoint Company. Each of Waypoint's solutions are designed to increase and protect the wealth of privately held pharmacy business owners with a laser focus on empowering a wealth and health care revolution in small town America.

Now, no pain control beyond my patch. Cuz I am labeled a junkie. Forever now. I am 60. I need more pain connrol. Now will never get it..

11 minutes in, still waiting for information….My back ended up being the reason I had foot problems. After being in dibilitating pain for a year, it took my cousin, a nurse, to show me how issues in the back could be causing my foot pain. So I began stretching, yoga, pilates and seeing a chiropractor. Amazing! It worked! I hate doctors because all they do is DOCTOR you and have no interest in healing.

Yea the most horrible medication ever. I’m like what am I paying one hundred dollars who I just talk on the phone with to send in a prescription for Suboxone that I can’t stand taking. It gives me an hour of energy that’s it. I said, “Screw this I’m buying Kratom “ it worked way better then crap Suboxone. I’ve passed that info to many people who use kratom and their life is way better with Kratom. Plus Kratom has a half life of about 4 hours. Who would take a medication with a half life of 3 days. I tell others not to start on Suboxone. Start on kratom. It’s way better.

Buprenorphine is a horrible drug. It gives me about 2 hours of great energy then nothing. It’s not something I would seek out. If you want to use you need to take a massive dose of oxycodone to feel “Normal “ it’s half life is ridiculous. It’s derived from thebaine but feels nothing like it. I don’t dare tell anyone I take it. I can’t wait to get off it and throw it in the trash. It does nothing for pain. Just another crap drug that does nothing.

I’ve been on Mounjaro since April and with exercise and some life changes I’m down 70lbs. It’s interesting about glp-1 meds and addiction. I’ve been stuck on buprenorphine for a long time- around 13 years with no success every rime I have tried to taper and be done. around the same time I switched to sublocade to try to break it off with bupe. Unfortunately, I was still having some issues with physical cravings on the sublocade and I’m now on brixadi. Brixadi seems to be better for me, but I’m still not 100%. Have you guys heard of anyone having issues with sublocade absorption when injecting glp-1’s into the abdomen? My dr injects brixadi in my bum for now and will try my arm in another month. I wish we had ibogain here. I can’t remember how I found you guys, but I’m a pharmacy tech, so I’m glad I did! Thanks for the episode!!

I am prescribed bupre for neck arthritis. Is it effective...not very but better tha OTC. However, recent mental health studies show that those who take buprenorphine score higher than than the population in general for day to day happiness, adjustment, and most other mental health criteria...at least I have read this and for me it is absolutely the truth. Though my pain is there my attitude toward it allows me to live right thru it.

Something took a turn and I started having major weird panic attacks shaking puking all things detox . Left family doctor and went to a SABOXYN clinic to assist in getting off . Been on 2 full strips and every now then a pill instead of strip I’m feeling little better now I want to get off all this and was referred to sublicade . I’ve only been up this high for about 5 weeks . SABOXYN clinic wants to start me off at 300 mg shot for one month another 300 mg shot another month then drop me down to 150 and the following month will be another 150 and then she said I could be completely off of everything is this true? PBMs not only have evolved into greedy Fortune 10 monsters, putting rural pharmacies out of business, but students are no longer seeking a career in pharmacy unless they are determined to work hospital pharmacy. Over 30 years ago I had to compete with 2800 applicants for 100 seats to get into the nearest pharmacy school to me, one of the top pharmacy schools in the country. This past year that same top school could not fill the available seats they had for new students. The largest chain pharmacy, who is also owned by a huge conglomerate with their own insurance company and powerful PBM, are known for the worst retail pharmacy environment, with not enough tech help, making the working environment so stressful that they have given the retail pharmacy environment in general an unattractive career to pursue. Pharmacy school grads do not want to work in a sweat shop just cranking out prescriptions as fast as possible with not enough help. This greatly increases the chance of prescription errors and pharmacists that do work for them are burning out in their 40s. Prospective students see the national news stories and hear from friends who have had bad experiences working at chain pharmacies that they are no longer considering pharmacy as a career choice. What was once considered the third best career to choose in college is now 29th. All due to the strangle hold of the major PBM in the nation. Pharmacies are paid so little they can’t afford adequate tech help and don’t have time to have the pharmacist/patient relationship they once had. This is a very recent development that’s hasn’t been talked about much when discussing the abusive greedy practices of unregulated PBMs. The actual destruction of the retail pharmacist in general. After a 20 year glut of new graduates looking for a job in retail pharmacy, suddenly they are getting very scarce. Who can blame them? Even though the independent retail pharmacies remain a good option for students to pursue, they know PBMs are actively trying to put them out of business. Will independent pharmacies be around in 10 or 15 years? The bad reputation and the poor working environment of chain pharmacies, especially if owned by a PBM, has scared off prospective students so they choose another career path. So the unregulated, crooked behavior of the PBM industry has finally destroyed the occupation of the retail pharmacist in my area. If you are an independent pharmacy owner looking to hire a new graduate, good luck. It’s getting very, very difficult to do so.

I had a very acute heart incident that is being investigated. Got too cold asleep in a cold sweat. I was hypothermic turns out, paramedics were there when it happened. Heart pain woke me up, called them immediately. I knew what was happening. I was a massage therapist ffs. I know more about the musculoskeletal system, probably nervous too, than most doctors. My GP told me that a long time ago. We even took pharmacology. Healthcare. Manipulating bodies. U can hurt someone. Anyways, I was 94°F after a hot shower trying to break the sweat. Wasn't working. Got out, tried to dry off, it wasn't working, still sweating, got in bed again. Had a heart attack.. White hot yet cold Stabbing pain like A sword going thru my back out my chest. Electricity running down both arms. I jump started. My heart was trying to warm me up. My chest did compressions on itself. I was naked, paramedics saw it, called a breathing problem, fuckers. My heart will be damaged. They're gonna image it. So sick of doctors not believing me or pretending not to and gaslighting me. Causes u to ignore signs and symptoms which isn't good in the long run. U guys have been ignoring my symptoms forever. I predicted all of it. Eventually the damage showed up on imaging. Small fiber neuropathy. Can't handle most chemicals. Hopefully the methadone will be well tolerated. I tolerated it fine when I was on it 20 yrs ago.

Either potential liver or kidney damage...not sure which...as to keep this comment as generic as possible, say a person is on Hydro 5mg/ acetaminophen mix, taking between one to two daily for Arthritis pain management...what are the available (through prescription of a license to prescribe medical professional, of coarse) alternatives to it within the same class schedule III, that would get equivalent to slightly higher pain relief, as well as less health risks? Thanks for the video, and hope you and yours are doing well!

No one has commented on Rannazzi out of fear of retribution I still believe in freedom of speech and giving it to every sucker I can. Its just for people who have done wrong under the guise of good.
